For all I could criticize Nintendo for, I could never begrudge it rescuing Bayonetta from the scrapheap and continuing to have faith in the series.

I’ll also happily take the excuse to play Bayonetta 2 again!

Great game on wiiu. But the res. On 4k always made it painful so if I buy a switch this will be a day 1 purchase. Roll on b3 and pikmin 4 please!!! (And a console Luigi mansion 1 and 2 remaster with Bonus boggling love!!!). Amazing crazy game reviewed well!…(sorry jimpressioned well). Well done for mentioning monster Hunter world Jim. Good to know it’s on your radar even if it’s not for you. I’ve never been able to get into it and I tried in the past but the pspro version is amazing if you’re willing to put the… Read more »

Loki sounds like a rubbish version of Pip from South Park which made me laugh.

Now, it’s funny Jim was saying the game looked dated graphically (sorta), but… I think this sort emcapsulates the current problem with a lot of graphics. Even given that this sort of game (and the art-style) is not my thing, I would have said that it was already *well* into the region of “good enough.” Honestly, I don’t know what ultimately would improve to make it…. more? Given, in particular, the pace of this game, I would not imagine that individually animating every hair strand or something would be something you’d really notice, for example. Would the game really be… Read more »

You’ll know Nintendi is up to summin’ pretty fresh when Peach receives Bayonetta’s costume in future games.

Btw, your digital games library must be whopping huge, like unimaginably so. Full of all kinds of shameful dirt and ignored digital worlds left forever in suffering stasis. I often feel a bit silly with the odd few impulse purchases I proceed to regret and forget myself, part of the bane of digital ownership really. Those stains are with us for life in the cloud. Pepperidge cloud never forgets…

Hey Jim!

I wanted to publicly apologize to you, because i insulted you because of the Breath of the Wild review.

In another note, yes, the angels designs are really crazy.

Handheld might actually work better for me. I have a limited field of vision, and sometimes I just can’t do fast paced games on my tv anymore. Slower games, I can flit my eyes around to see everything. But faster twitch based games, it’s too much to take in. On a smaller screen, I lose detail, but I can keep track of everything better. It depends on if important information is scaled for a smaller screen. I love Stardew Valley on my Switch, but good lord, some of the numbers and icons are so small at to be non existent.

I’ve read through your take on the switch and the games i now thinking Nintendo and last time i had 1 was the NES. I know bad Jon, but in light of the out right lets leach off the players (“payers” Not my words!). I would more than happily thrown money at Nintendo for not being in the “AAA culture”, (sorry a bit of sick bad words), and support out of principle Nintendo! Just need spring to happen for work and that and i am laughing, not crying and living day by day hoping that i not going to screw… Read more »

To each their own of course, but I always found Bayonetta 1 to just be a much bigger and better game than Bayonetta 2 (as someone who has first been exposed to Bayonetta 2, when 1, on the Wii U and am frankly glad I played it in that order) B2 felt like it had a lot more fluff and put all its eggs in one basket near the beginning, leaving the rest of the game to be kind of bland and dull in comparison (that opening level was way better than the entire rest of the game) where B1… Read more »
