I don’t think I agree on it being such a great business practice… For me, it seems like it might be the type of model where I might be enticed to continually buy “one more table for my collection”, the kind of purchase which I usually end up regretting and feeling ashamed. I’ve got burned by such things a few times and I’m pretty wary now of such things. Now that I’ve seen a few I just wanted to say I love these new Jimpressions. Looking back on some of your reviews I can see now where some things that you ‘had’ to have in there because it was a review where just a bit stilted. Like not really bad, just now I can tell where you would switch from being Jim to putting stuff in because you had to. Now it’s all Jim and I can tell it is more fun for you. The thing that unfortunately soured FX3’s debut was them pulling FX2 and all its tables from sale pretty much overnight with little warning, meaning several tables that didn’t make it to FX3 for licensing reasons can no longer be played if you didn’t already own them. That, and some people having technical problems with FX3 that they didn’t have with 2, has been kicking up quite a stink on the Steam forums. Plus as much as I like FX2/3 it’s really more a “pay for the bit of the game that has what you want and some stuff you don’t”… Read more »
