Listen, I’m not saying I went looking for that picture in the thumbnail, but I’d imagine that someone who did might, hypothetically, be surprised at the number of image results for “female wrestler fart”. Hypothetically.

Jim, I really hope you don’t take this badly, but I don’t think the guy who fucks pogs and swings a giant purple cock around in his videos can really shame Ubisoft for doing a fart contest for South Park. I mean… It’s South Park. Vulgarity is kind of their thing. As is yours, really.

He wasn’t trying to shame them for it, he was just surprised that they did something like that.

He did it call it “the final humiliation”.

He should probably shame them for the scenes of underage girls stripping for adult men though.

I’m stunned that neither Jim or Laura, through the entire farting discussion about people executing their farts as a public performance, thought of coming up with the term “the Fartist”. Talk about a missed opportunity!

Jim Fucking Sterling son I am disappoint 😉

What’s Laura on about? Golf Story wasn’t announced a week before release. It was even featured in a Nintendo Direct months ago.

I’m not sure where the criticisms of the way Cuphead does difficulty are rooted, but the default control mapping was not good for me and it took a lot of fiddling to find a more comfortable one.

David Duchovny also did some voice-acting in Area 51, never knew he was in XIII though. Adam West was also in XIII.

I thought Surge absolutely did the Souls formula right, Code Vein still sounds dope though.

He voiced XIII.

Could we and ate these pod casts please ? Ask for money to pay someone or just find a fan who can do some basic graft for his portfolio and build from that…. be lovely to see you all chatting away in a variety of gaming related outfits and backdrops.

Do you mean animate them? People have done animated shorts based on certain sections before but animating the entire thing? Kind of a tall order, considering that Loose Boys is animated and taking far longer to be released because of overestimating how long it would take to produce which I’m guessing will probably only be ten minutes at best and podquisition on average is an hour.

You could do crude photoshops of Jim, Gav & Laura’s faces onto static backgrounds I suppose.

I think he’s asking for something like Co Optional Animated.

The only time I’ve ever watched any of TotalBiscuit’s content was when Jim, Gav & Laura were on Co-optional.

Duchovny also has a music career. I’m not sure how it compares to Mr Furlong.

He does? I mean, that sounds like something that would be a thing on FistShark Marketing as a joke because of how monotone Duchovny generally is.

CDPR were too busy talking to Danny O’Dwyer and probably didn’t want to say all the same shit all over again to you.

The Duke should definitely check out the responses around a Rock-Paper-Shotgun article about ‘a skip button for bosses’ …because oh boy, that brought out a lot of pretentious gatekeepers, projecting so much snobbery that I am at a loss as to how to approach logically. Nevermind that people exist with disabilities who enjoy games and would like to be considered somewhat, no, these elites have to have it all for them and spout all kinds of diatribe bollocks to justify their needless selfishness. The Duke is the first thing and the last thing I thought of when painfully reading all… Read more »

I am so sick of this “debate”. Weirdly, there are valid arguments on both sides. The pro-accessibility people are correct in that greater difficulty options open the game up to a much bigger audience and really does nothing to affect the enjoyment of the hardcore. The elitist pricks are correct in that a challenging games (like Dark Souls) are a legitimate design choice; they are also right in that adding difficulty options takes up precious developer time and money, and therefore we can’t just demand that all games offer us accessibility options that cater to everybody. Where all of these… Read more »

I think a large part of the artistry of videogame design is a well crafted challenge curve, so a “skip the difficult bit” button would be detrimental to, well, almost any game that included it. No, what games need to do is to more fully embrace their core aesthetics and make sure that the functions that boss fights fulfil in games whose aesthetic is challenge are also satisfied in the other aesthetics. As an example, let’s talk about Fallout and the Master. One of the core asethetics of Fallout is discovery, that’s why you start out as some chump from… Read more »
