I love how Laura says “The last 3 Sony games – Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War and Spider-Man”.

I guess even people who liked Detroit: Become Human don’t remember it as being noteworthy…

And how could anyone forget the greatest game ever printed on a disc, KNACK II?!

Difficulty settings that are granular and specific like in Celeste should be the standard if the game is going to have them at all. Nobody knows what a developer means by “easy, medium, or hard” or “biscuits, scones, or cake” or whatever silly name they’ve come up with to feel clever until they’re already familiar with the game and how it works and then it’s too late.

One of the things I noticed was that, even with the Ubi-towers, the map was never flooded with icons; there was always several main story missions before a new icon would appear. The first were backpacks (at 55 it is by far the highest number), landmarks (47), Fisk bases (6?), and the random crime icons; the research stations, challenges, and the others unlocked slowly. The first two seem like a lot, but they can be c;eared quickly enough (especially together) and give a lot of practice traveling the city.
