Podquisition Episode 209: Pokemon Is Late Stage Capitalism

A podcast of two halves, almost. Jim and Laura talk Pokemon Let’s Go, then Jim and Gav dump hard on Fallout 76. The whole gang joins in for in-game gambling though.

seeing a location and getting excited and then it’s empty is exactly how fallout 4 made me feel. everything was just a new settlement location.

I think there’s only so much anyone can keep up with caring about videogames. So I think the wrestling is a nice break from that, not even just for the fans but for Jim as well. So even if I don’t care for it, the fact that Jim’s not burning himself out on one thing means that the gaming ~content~ he does produce will be (and so far has been) that much better for it.

I would be all over Pokemon Lets Go if it weren’t motion controls or GTFO. I mostly play with my Switch on the telly, and I will have nothing to do with motion controls.

I’m in rather the same position as Jim where just knowing IVs are there and my mons aren’t all they could be bothers me but I’d rather stop than catch them over and over at random, so the catch combos would be great, but needs to work on the telly with no motion controls or no deal.

About Fallout 76 :

The map is the best thing out of the game, because it’s the only thing Bethesda knows how to do well anymore.

You can see it as soon as when you start comparing F3 with New Vegas.
