In its defense thoug it’s not like there were any free roaming sandbox games where you could skip hours at a time if you needed to when this game came out in 1999.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go play a game called Daggerfall. It’s a free roaming sandbox game where you could skip multiple hours if you need to and it came out in 1996.

I feel like there’s a new season of “Commentocracy” on the horizon here (those dislikes have to be connected to some rabid individuals).

But yeah, could never get into these games as a youth. This collection seems more like something to tide fans over until S3, rather than something to bring in new players. A remake would have served the series well, but that would cost resources the studio probably doesn’t have.

Oh thank god, I thought I might be insane thinking this game sucked. When everyone cheered at the announcement of Shenmue 3, I couldn’t understand why! And I’m not trying to be a jerk, I usually at least understand the appeal of games I don’t like. But the love for Shenmue baffles me. It’s so slow, the activities are boring, and the production value is terrible. I enjoy walking simulators. I like Telltale Games.
