This looks like the game that’s finally going to get me to buy a Switch. This and Mario Kart 8 having me giddy like a schoolchild again, at least.

To be honest, I wasnt impressed by the story part of the game, when it comes to gameplay, but after i unlocked the endgame, I have a fucking blast with the game! 9/10 from me.

BTW, Jim, I am so sorry, I dont know what I did, but I got into your WordPress administration when I logged in. :O. What happened?

Without looking, i’m willing to bet the majority of YouTube comments are variations of “7/10” references. In the thousands at least.

It’s like literally every comment. I seriously have no idea how so many people individually decided that simply repeating the very joke that closed the video without adding anything to it was a good idea (especially when even the quickest glance at the comment section reveals that everyone else had already done the same thing).

Jim, as soon as you read this, drop everything else you’re doing and talk to the Toad with the headphones standing next to the big fountain in the Mushroom Kingdom. I promise you won’t regret it.

The entire week I literally could barely pick up anything with my left hand until the swelling went down. As for the “JoyCons” I had sold them a while ago, because I didn’t want to deal with their motion control… Read more »

It’s the Dark Souls of Mario.

‘Traversing the white light’ before boss fights was one thing….but Ruined Kingdom? Come on!

Exactly what I was thinking the whole time I was there; between all the swords stuck in the ground, the recurring emphasis on lightning, and the name “Ruined Dragon,” there’s precisely zero chance that there weren’t at least a few huge Dark Souls fans on the Odyssey team (which might go some way toward explaining why the game’s boss fights are leaps and bounds ahead of anything else in the series). Even the flavor text on the area’s map screen reads like a series of Dark Souls item descriptions, it’s awesome.

Jim, not related but I’d recommend watching one of the latest Red Dwarf episodes when it comes out for general republic, not going to say which to avoid spoiling you but you’ll like it (:

I had a spoiler for the new series which I had to keep to myself for months until it became public knowledge around the time of the series launching.
