I’m very sorry Jim, Conrad… But no. No, I am sorry, I do not want to watch this with you. Listening to it is as far as I think I need to go… (I mean, I’m not even going to use the actual legtimate excuse that the fact that you gentleman and your podcasts provide me with something to listen to as I do my CAD work[1] and I’d have to stop doing my work – and I think we can all agree that Pixels is not worth that, ever…!) I love you guys, but, no, I’ll have to metaphorically… Read more »

I feel like the reason that Jim bought Crystal Vodka is the only reason anyone has ever bought Crystal Vodka.

I like the way about an hour it almost becomes an episode of Fistshark.

The UN considers forcing people to watch Pixels a war crime.
They will get you for this, you can’t escape now!

New(ish) Spin-off Doctors + happy drunk Jim? It’s like you already gave us a Christmas episode.

I’m so glad I’ve never watched Pixels.

I’m now curious on the over video game movie commentaries he’s done that he mentioned early, couldn’t find them doing a quick google search.

Search for podtoid podbay to find the Destructoid podcast. You’ll want the ones before Elusive Zazu. They didn’t do many. The other one mentioned was the final episode of Dismal Jesters.

I disapprove of this, but only because it means a certain portion of listeners are going to go watch Pixels on Netflix so they can watch along, thus giving money to Adam Sandler and telling the algorithims on their Netflix Accounts “Hey, this is the sort of thing I’m into, suggest me more like this.” I’m cautiously aroused at the prospect of you doing these commentaries with other, less horrendous films, however.

But if everyone pirated Pixels then we’ll never get a Pixels 2! Surely you don’t want to deprive Jim and Conrad of covering that, do you?

So anyone who does this when you’ve watched Pixels review it and give it the lowest rating.

It’s best for everyone to be aware that this film is directly based off a 2 minute short by a French (I think) director, Patrick Jean in 2010. It contains no speaking, only the imagery of the takeover; immeasurably better than this tripe. Everything about this movie is a fucking hack. Cynical, vapid, shallow, dumb, selfish, tasteless, exploitative…fucking fuck off, Sony, happy fucking Madison and fucking Sandler not giving a toss about the art of storytelling, only money money and sweet juicy MONEY! Damn, Conrad…that’s a lot of times watching this, how is your soul not a mere decayed husk… Read more »

I never watched the movie, but Nostalgia Critic’s clipless review of it is one of my favorite videos on YouTube. Just having it explained to me, it’s such a shit-tastic movie.

“The Last of Us” is everything wrong with video games – Adam Sandler 2015

Even a year later this pisses me off to no end. Also I didn’t watch along. Also also drunk Jim. Also also also fuck Pixels.

Conrad provides the perfect quote for Pixels.

Fuck Pixels. Fuck Adam Sandler.

It’s kind of ironic that both Adam Sandler and Uwe Boll have such contempt for games when they’ve both worked out a way to game the film industry. They consistently make tedious duds that no one likes and yet somehow they still make lots of money.

…come to think of it, has anyone ever actually seen them in the same room together?

Boll’s stuff can at least be entertaining if not for the right reasons. Sandler, on the other hand, provides valid arguments for why life on this planet should never have evolved behind single-celled organisms.

Ouch. Sandler has some gems in his back-catalogue… but would I rather watch a Uwe Boll movie, or a Sandler movie from the last decade? Jesus, I hadn’t considered this before it was asked, but I think I’d have to go with Boll.
