Couldn’t disagree more about “A Quiet Place”. It was really tense and well directed. The characters make mistakes but also do some really clever stuff too so I never got the impression that they were stupid.

Jim is right thought that the way they live and the post-apocalypse setting doesn’t really make sense when you think about it too much. [Also… sometimes people get pregnant accidentally]

Jim’s not wrong on the UK job front…

I’m not generally a fan of horror movies, but Hellraiser verses Lara Croft… That I might see. (If, y’know, it wasn’t done in a crap fashion, which, sadly likely would be the case…)

Looking forward to what the Movie Boys thought of this! For my own part, I thought the movie was solid, up until the twist in the latter-half of the film which derails a lot of the promise it had been building up. It doesn’t completely ruin the movie, but it is disappointing and it has to settle for just being “one of the best video game movies” instead of the uncontested champion. Other than that, the action scenes are fun (especially the escape-to-waterfall-to-airplane scene), Alicia Vikander is a good reboot Lara, and Walter Goggins is as great as ever.
