I’m convinced that if the script had been more robust and clever, and not the formulaic drivel that it was, that the movie would have become more than just the cult classic that it is today. If only…

You know you have to watch “Savior of the Earth” to follow this up, right?

I think Tron is a classic but because of what it achieved in terms of it’s production rather than being a great film.

It’s fun to hear Conrad being super interested in the movie and keeping going on about it, while Jim just wants the episode to end… Don’t worry Jim, Bloodrayne 2 will be your revenge!!!

This movie just has style spraying out of its ass. It’s so gorgeous. I could never watch it as a kid, though. I’d try, and try, and inevitably lose interest about twenty to thirty minutes in.

Later on I figured it was just too mature for my younger self, so I watched it again and… nope. I got through the whole thing, but I can’t say I enjoyed myself very much. It’s just a real slog for me.

Such a pretty movie, though.

I need to start actively watching the Movie Boys’ selections again. I saw about half of Tron at least a decade ago now, but I had no fucking idea what any of that synopsis was about. That said, I’m morbidly curious about Bloodrayne 2… the first one was hilariously bad, how much worse can the sequel be? R-right guys?

I was wondering, if you go out of the video game movie format, are you thinking of doing hardcore Henry? In my opinion, it’s the best video game movie that isn’t a video game.

Well, a funding goal for the Fist Shark Patreon is doing a movie commentary podcast with Mr Holmes. However the target goal is $1500 and currently, they are 1000 below that.

What happens to the Orange that got digitized? Is that ever explained or is there a small orange still out there in the Tron-scape, just being an orange in a world with no colors besides red and blue?

Today I got a new Spin-off Doctors AND a new Strongbad Email.
So far, today is not the worst of days.

Unrelated ‘Fun’ Fact: I’ve never seen Tron Legacy, but damn it does have a great soundtrack.

Weird, the embeded soundcloud file was the last Podquisition episode despite me refreshing the page twice. It’s fixed now.

I dunno what you guys are so confused about. The first thing we learn in programming is how to include a hyperlink to our complete biography, with pictures and everything, in such a way that nobody will ever click it or find it through Google searching. The dark web is only like 5% black market and criminals. It’s really just a bunch of programmer full-life profiles our software uses to mimic us in every way. Also, I’ve heard that some people (not me) like to masturbate into a USB containing their files. So there’s that as well for putting a… Read more »

With the ability to digitize things, it’s entirely possible they digitized their cum and directly impregnated the network, and that’s how programs are made – basically orphans/clones raised in isolation in the digital world, their “user” telling them what to do via VOIP links that function like the voices in Senua’s head from Hellblade, goading and jibing and telling them they’re not as important or worth as much as the User, every so often feeling their entire world shake when the programmer loses their temper and kicks the computer they’re currently located in if they fuck something up.

Tron 2.0 is one of my favorite games ever. I was so excited to see it released on GOG recently. I definitely recommend picking it up if you want to have fun in the Tron universe.

I was once at a convention where Bruce Boxleitner was at. I could have asked him about Babylon 5, Tron. Instead I asked him about reprising the role alongside Donald & Goofy.

I know one of the animators who worked on this movie. Great guy. He was in fact the only Disney animator due to the fact that the animation team did not want anything to do with the concept of computer animation. Among them were the future head honchos of Pixar.

Oh, this is a pleasant surprise. Wreck-It Ralph set the precedent for branching out into things ABOUT video games, but this is still a pleasant surprise.

They also did Brainscan & Pixels. Which also means we have the delight of The Wizard to look forward to.
